usually 2nd legs provide the best opportunities, as we know what teams have to play for and they cant hold back. therefore here my thoughts:

Barca-Chelsea: i still believe chelsea has a shot, but this can go either way. but what i definetely see is the over. Chelsea has to go 100 % offensive from the start. they have to score at least twice to have a chance. they are very well capable to score against barca at anytime (as long as they play with 11 men Barca on the other hand, might take a more careful approach, but the offensive surge of chelsea that i expect will open massive space on the counter attack, which they will take.
this might be a 2-1 chelsea or 2-1 barca or even a 2-2...but it will definetely a very offensive game, with lots of scoring opportunities and my strongest play on this weeks card
Barca-Chelsea over 2.5 @ 1.86 !! 2 units!!

Juve-Bremen:

Again no play on the side here as -1 is spot on...juve just need to win by one, as long it s not a crazy game like 4-3 or something...will they do it? probably, but not sure. if they fail to score early and can sit back on the lead they might be vulnurable to bremen's counter attack. again i think the over is the best play here. bremen will not defend from all i can read and hear in german news..anyway they are not capable to do so. so they will try to score and as we have seen they can against juve...i expect juve also to try to score at least twice for some kind of security, unless it s 1-0 till the 70th min. but i dont expect that game to stay too long at 0-0.
Juve-Bremen: over 2.5 @ 1.89

Villarreal-Rangers

i simply expect the spains to go through as they are the far better team...look where rangers are in scottish standings..the ydont have a good season at all and they are not like the big teams, as liverpool last year, who can have the attidute: we dont care about the domestic league,let s go for the win in ECL. They are simply not good enough and should have lost already at glasgow.

My only play today is Juventus -1 @ 1.89. I expect The Old Lady to be to strong for Werder. If they get ahead 1-0, Werder will be forced to attack which will create more openings for the Italian strikers. Could be a great game since Juve can't just sit back and protect a lead from the first leg. The over might be the right choice too but I'll leave the total alone for now.

The over in Barcelona v Chelsea on the other hand is worth a wager imo - especially since you're on it with 2 units.

Villarreal -1...I don't know about that one... I definitely wouldn't pick Rangers but the fact that Villarreal is through to the next round with a draw (< 2-2) or a one goal win is enough for me to pass.

glad to see we are on the same, side with villareal (maybe I should have taken the handicap too) and the barca over, although I ve not posted juventus over which I might bet too, I just posted my selections and click on your thread, and get the same ones, good reassuring feeling this one. I don't know where you got the line for the barca over but you can definately get a better price at the exchanges.

strange day yesterday..betting wise i got a way with a relatively small loss, but the chelsea game was simply wrong analysed. even the 1-1 was not the correct result...to be honest that was a clear, boring 0-0 game.
anyway let's move on.

Jackie this one is for you:

Milan- Bayern: Bayern +0.5 @ 1.85 and over 2 @ 1.85

Bayern will win, they will cover the total alone...they lost to hamburg on weekend focussing on Milan, they were, although pathetic, still the better team in first game and will advance.
This might be a german homer pick, but from all i could hear this week they will find a way to go through.

Liverpool will win, but it could be close as i dont see the offense at liverpool to blow benfica away..so not decided yet if i go for -1

Lyon...cant play this with lyon already winning away.

Arsenal-Real: no idea yet. wpuld like to have some opinion from you..real struggling, but before the arsenal match, they were red hot and we were all on them...has this changed? dont know...arsenal beside the real game is still very disapointing and definetely not a strong team this year...but it could be like liverpool last year. domestic league is lost, so focus on the CL. but do they have the same potential and can go on? Besides the last factor i still like Real and believe they got a shot here. But the liverpool scenario scares me at the moment..maybe i pull the trigger later.

BTW, couple of make up games in germany in 1 hour. i ll have a look at them, maybe a play

Bettingwise I'll leave the game alone though...

As for the rest of the games, I'm on Liverpool -1 and Arsenal pk. But to be honest, I'm having second thoughts about them... Not enough to buy back but almost. Let's see what happens!

Mainly Arsenal pk. I'm staying away from the Arsenal total! Could blow over if Real get their act together but if Arsenal's (probably) defensive approach works, we'll see a game like Barcelona v Chelsea yesterday.

Same sentiments here, I got a few things to say about this game but I don't have enough time, suffice to say that one should learn from their failures and I realised once more, why one should wait for the starting line ups before placing a bet, If I d done that and seen the teams the coaches were fielding, esp. barcelona's formation I d have refrained from taking the over...a few other things too but later...merk has A LOT to do with the end result, this piece of shit uefa right hand man besides the penalti messed the game up completely continually interupting the game with fouling...when you see merk in the refs rethink your bets.

after watching the first half of milan-bayern i think you have to put your money on bayern pk,+0.5 for 2nd half
Milan should have been up at least 3-0 after 25 min, but then.... i really liked what i ve seen there.

also liverpool...they will have big problems to advance (who should score 3 goals?), but 2nd half line at 0.5,1 ??? this is football only in one direction so far and it will not change. i like that 2nd half line even more than bayern
